Soothing stations were ministry outposts in the first book in the Mistborn Trilogy in which Soothers would dampen the emotions of the Skaa. In the book, this causes trouble in recruitment for Kelsier's army of Skaa rebels, until Marsh later tells Kelsier about these, and gives him a map. Kelsier then hires bandits to take out all the Soothing stations just before the Collapse.
