Mare was Kelsier's wife, and the person whom everyone assumed betrayed Kelsier. However, when Vin discovered that it is possible to pierce copperclouds, it was determined that Mare did not betray Kelsier on purpose, as the Lord Ruler simply was able to see her Tin burning through the coppercloud who was with them. Kelsier was first introduced to Sazed through Mare. It was revealed that Mare wanted children, although Kelsier did not. Mare collected pre-Ascencion memorabolia. Mare was a Tineye who believed in the Larsta religion.
